This HAS to be the stupidest line of dialogue I've ever heard.
Who the *beep* else would he be?
"Nah, I just jumped behind the counter at this random sandwich place and made a FULL SANDWICH for a customer and everyone here was just totes cool with it. You're the dumb *beep* right?"

I get that it's merely a quick setup to him finding a job in Michigan and meeting his new co-workers, but Jesus Christ, put some elbow grease into your *beep* script, man.

TWO people wrote this thing and neither one of them thought or said "we'll change this later to something not stupid"?

She needed to start the conversation somehow and chose that.

People very frequently say obvious things in real life conversations.

in general.. the dialogue in this film is a cringe fest

that line was there so the audience is aware of some ugly co-worker who will sorta become relevant to the plot later
