Why do men like this movie more than women?

Look at the IMDB stats, they support this. As a man I personally didn't care for this movie. Were there any redeeming men in this movie? This movie just left me feeling emotionless and cold. I don't get the adulation. Can someone explain just what the #$%# it all means?

Because Clooney's character represents success to a man, he knows what he's doing, he's making tons of money, he has status, business drives and power and he can pick up a woman in a bar without much effort. That little love hiccup at the end was just a temporary mistake, he at the end gets himself back on track.

Because we can relate to it an finds its conclusion/final message really hits home.
