Does this film hit home with anyone else?

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

I know it is not a "movie."

This film is strictly a work of art,

And it had moved in ways only other true "works of art" have before.

I am not accomplished enough in the discipline of film viewing to be justified in making a true, professional critique of this work of art. My opinion can only loom at it from the perspective of a man who miraculously identifies with the protagonist of this film. Who geniously becomes "me" through subsequent viewings.

I have never been so deeply immersed in the experience of a film. It has shaken me up, so to speak, as I have been before. Never through motion pictures on this level, I must admit.

There is a name for this sort of disembodiment and disillusionment brought on through film. I'm not sure it's been inventenyed yet. Believe me, it will be if enough young intellectuals witness this series of photographs...24 frames per second...for over 12000 seconds.

Hard to put my passioniate experience with this film into words...

Does anyone else out there actually dig it?

I hear you. This movie just really rocked my world.... as you say it's a work of art not a movie. It evokes emotions that cannot be evoked through ANY OTHER MEDIUM. Artists can do really unbelievable things with film--like David Lynchh. In this case, I was on a thrilling roller coaster ride, an indoor roller coaster in the dark with lots of neon lights. :p I can't say I loved every part of it, but that isn't a bad thing, that's real life.

This film, as well as his other film Irreversible, left me feeling like me entire world had been shaken. I felt emotionally and physically exhausted. I felt sick to my stomach. But I liked it. Which made me feel even more sick to my stomach.

And I'm also very shocked this film has such a positive rating. 7 is quite high for a film like this.

It definitely moved me in a very unique way. Had me asking many questions I've never approached. It is truly a piece of art that deserves much observation.

I truly love finding these, off the wall, avant garde films that spill it's blood to the audience, leaving nothing off the table, and truly asking if?
