What Enter The Void has done...

For me, as someone who has watched THOUSANDS of Films over the years. From Bergman, Godard and The French New Wave, Soviet Films, Polish etc etc and especially my American Contemporaries with Scorsese, Kubrick, Spielberg,the Coens, PT Anderson... I mean, obviously we all know the names and their contributions to Cinema...

BUT, as of late, I've found myself drawn to films like Enter The Void and Love. It's an experienced like none other. Lars Von Trier has made some great ones as well. Films that experiment with how the Mind and Body relate. I especially like Noe and Von Trier because even though they experiment, their Narratives are still very much straight forward. It's not like a Malick film (Whom I love but for his own reasons.) Basically they have the ability to play with every aspect of Filmmaking without leaving the basic idea at hand. It's a tricky thing to do and all I crave are more and more films JUST LIKE THIS.
