Best Bad Movie I've Ever Seen

Enter the Void is the best bad movie I’ve ever seen, and that’s simultaneously a compliment and the furthest thing from. I couldn’t recommend this with a clean conscience, yet I'd probably recommend it to any true film fan. It’s a masterful exercise in pure filmmaking, but to what end? The film starts off shocking, but becomes - and here’s a word I never thought I’d use to describe a Gaspar Noe film - boring. The last hour is almost unwatchable. It's a 4/10, but I don't think I've seen a better 4/10 movie, if that makes sense.

I just saw this and also gave it a 4/10.

Too me this reminds me of The Beach, with it's good bad vibe. It's like the goal was to make a bad movie so well that it creates a conflict of feelings. Innovative to a fault, and empty, and unfunny, and uninteresting, at the same time.

I gave it a 6 based solely on the tremendous film making. I found this quite boring yet visually stunning.

Totally agree guys. Visually and cinematically fantastic but ultimately way too long and hollow.

Agreed. Gave it 7/10 coz it was so original visually and raw at times (without being raw for the sake of being low in cost).

Can't believe someone close to Noé who watched it before the final edit didn't tell him "Hey G, this is brilliant but you NEED to cut a few scenes and get this down closer to two, maybe two and a quarter hours and that will be the difference between an above-average movie and a cult classic". Ridiculous editing.

Literally took the words out of my mouth. It looks like a 8 or 9/10 film but has the script of a 1 or 2/10 film.
