It's an irony. Netflix originated as an answer to the problem of too many cable providers.
And then it originated the problem of too many streaming providers.
Yeah, to get the all the best streaming content, you have to pay more than cable for all the major streaming services!
Fuck that, at this time the only pay app I have is Disney Plus, and to be it's worth $6 a month.

Yeah, I suspect Disney playing a long game with their streaming service, putting a lot of very expensive content on a very cheap service, building brand loyalty and getting in on the ground floor of the streaming revolution.
In the short term, it's a big win for fans of mindless fluff like me, but they do seem to have started a corporate streaming gold rush. Now every fucking company and channel wants you to pay a few bucks a month for just their stuff, and I'm not falling for that!

Then they decided to try skipping the DVD part which caused many companies to pull content since they got less than favorable rates, which were negotiated originally as you aren't doing anything with the rights right now so a tiny income Is better than nothing
