All That Build up of Frenchie and Kimiko's Relationship
Over several seasons. Creating their bond, their connection, him helping her recover, her helping him find peace.
Just to make him gay? Out of nowhere.
Christ.

Another series falls to the god of "representation."
shareIt certainly wasn't out of nowhere. Frenchie seems like he could love people of either sex.
It definitely seems out of nowhere with this stupid ass sub-plot, though. All that build up between them two, to have her rooting him on to go for this guy.Kinda weak. I was disappointed at the end of 3 but this season has been good
Yup, completely shoehorned in to pander. The quality drop this season is insane
shareIt's not the gayness itself, it's the gayness for the sake of gayness, and then cramming it down the audience's throat in a totally forced way.
If a character was naturally gay from inception and portrayed it in a believable way, fine...but hitting us over the head with it to tick boxes is just obnoxious. If I was a gay person I'm not sure how I would feel about this forced inclusion, probably slightly patronised.
same.
