I was wondering the same thing...the caption said they were gunshots. No remorse whatsoever...seemed a bit out of character. They could've just held the guy at gunpoint.
They're at war with Vought. He saw their faces. It did seem harsh but had they subdued him first I would have been thinking they probably should have killed him if this was real life. Eliminate the threat. The guy was complicit in everything Vought was doing. Like a concentration camp guard from ww2.
