His character looks pretty much like a copy of Pyro from X Men 2, even has the zippo lighter like Pyro had in X Men 2 and constantly flipping the the top of it exactly like Pyro did. Its just funny the irony in that he was Iceman and is now Pyro essentially.
I think his character is actually supposed to be an analogue for Green Lantern.
There are X-Men analogues in the Boys universe called the G-Men, but I don't think there is a Pyro counterpart. Pyro was only ever a villain in the comics...him being an X-Man (or junior X-Man...whatever) was just made up for the movies.
Green Lantern? he pretty much just manipulates fire, he aint got no magical ring.
I mean Shawn Ashmore was in X Men and his best friend in X2 was Pyro, who was constantly fidgeting with a zippo like Lamplighter was in this recent episode, i don't know if he's liek Pyro from the comics but he sure is like Pyro from X Men 2.
well both characters have light themes going on. The Seven are patterned after the Justice League....Homelander (Superman), Queen Maeve (Wonder Woman), A-Train (Flash), The Deep (Aquaman), Black Noir (Batman), and Jack from Jupiter (Martian Manhunter). The last one was replaced with Translucent for the show. That leaves Lamplighter being Green Lantern.
I think Lamplighter's phony origin (that all the heroes have) is similar to Green Lantern's, but the show doesn't seem to be going into those too much.
Yeah i know its just i don't see alot of Green Lantern in Lamplighter, his costumes completely different, power is completely different. Their names are kinda similar i guess but thats it.
Shawn Ashmore didn't play Jimmy Olsen, his twin brother Aaron Ashmore did. Shawn was on Smallville though briefly as that guy that stole Clark's powers in one episode, he didn't have chill powers.
