now THIS was a great episode!
They might know what they are doing after all. π
Oh, I don't doubt that. It's a good show. I only wish the series had more of the The Boys spirit - the comic deserves it.

shareObviously. As I said, I like the story. In some ways it's better than the original. In the comic the way Butcher recruits team members is kind of whimsical. In the series it's a very personal crusade and he is desperate and is prepared to use anyone and anything.
My problem is that - apart from the first half of the first season - the spirit of the comic is not there. All that funny, dark, obscene mayhem. That's what I loved about it - not all the conspiracies, comic book references and obvious political bias.
Not to mention that they discarded something like 99.99999999999% of all sex.
I am a comic book fan but I never read in The Boys. I'm glad because I'm loving this show and lots of ppl who read the book seem to have issue with many of the decisions; expectations are not being met. I get it I would probably be in the same boat had I read the source material first. It's happened a bunch.
