Disney ripped over woke 'Proud Family' reboot

Ugh! And to think I had issues with the original show back in the day. This is Velma-level trash!

In the pre-woke version, the stories were a little better, but there were things that bothered me about the previous cartoon. I didn't like how Penny would stay friends with Dijionay, despite the latter being a shallow bitch that would ditch her for Lacienega if there was a situation or event where Penny couldn't be included. (D would even ditch her own brothers and sisters in one episode!) Or Oscar was an annoying shit. I also hated the double standards Trudy held in the household. She could make jokes at Oscar's expense, but Oscar couldn't say the same kind of jokes back, and he was weak and stupid enough to let her be in charge. There also seemed to be a small sense of nihilism in the show, like some things Penny did were pointless and futile. Like the time she wanted to be the first serious female football player for her school, and at the end of the episode, she failed to help her team win, and by the next episode she'd quit, despite how hard she had fought to be recognized as an equal on the field. There are other stories like this in later seasons of the show. Suga Mama, while one of the best characters in the show, could also be something of a hypocrite. She lets her younger son, Bobby, be an unemployed slacker and get off easy, but she treated Oscar, a guy with his own business [albeit not a very successful one] who is married, is raising 3 kids, and has a stable home life; like crap. It's stuff like that which made me quit watching before the series ended and the finale film came out on tv.

I saw about two minutes of it. Appalling racist crap, not suitable for children.
