Theory that jess murdered her son before the loop started

What do people think about that theory, the theory that she killed her son in the house before the loop started? One theory is that after smacking her son and going to her bedroom, she was about to totally lose her temper and kill her son, which is when nice Jess comes in with a hammer and kills mean Jess before she gets the chance.

However that doesn't explain how Jess ended up in the loop.

i think that there is no indication whatsoever and that the idea itself sucks terribly.

I actually thought that too. She was wracked with guilt and in a daze of denial upon first boarding the boat. Once she realizes later that she is in a time loop she sees an opportunity to go back and prevent her son's death by killing the bad mother Jess before she kills her son.
