How is the relationship between Ms. G and Fiamma portrayed in the book?
just curious..
shareMiss. G shows great interest in Fiamma, she wants to hear everything about her life. and when Fiamma talks Miss. G also moves her lips so it seems that she wants to be her, she is very obsessed.
Miss. G keeps asking for Fiamma while Fiamma doesn't want anything to do with her.
She keeps asking the other girls: Where is Fiamma, Where is Fiamma?

I don't know how it is in the movie, but in the book she is overly obsessed and fascinated with her. She repeats questions to Fiamma about her home in Italy [ in the book she's Italian with blonde hair ], and makes her go into great detail about it - which of course annoys the other girls. She always searching for her, in a pretty stalkerish fashion, sort of reminds me of Humber Humbert in Lolita in a sense.
shareNot to mention she constantly puts the other girls down when it comes to swimming- Miss G sees Fiamma as perfect, whereas she scolds the other girls for not being "good enough". She seems to place a lot of blame on Fuzzy too.

Indeed! i felt really sorry for fuzzy, when she said things about her weight and such

So did I! I loved Fuzzy. I don't know if it was just me, but she seemed like the only girl who actually cared for the well being of Fiamma, when all the other girls were beating her and such and she kept asking them to leave her alone. It was quite sad and Ms. G kept antagonizing her.

Indeed Indeed! but no one listened to our poor little Fuzz xD
