Powerful Scenes

I just saw this great film and there are two scenes that I feel are really powerful and deliver great messages.

The first one is at the beginning (Fiamma hasn't arrived yet) where the girls are in that room that Fuzzy is doing that gymnastic practice and Miss G tells them that Desire is the most important thing in life. This shows that all those stories of her (fake) experiences she would tell the girls were actually her desires that she never experienced really.

The second one is when she visits that village and she looks so uncomfortable being around strange people and it looks like she's been alienated and scared from the outside world. This shows how much of a victim of the institutionalized setting she is and that even though she DESIRES to experience different things in life she is scared and weak. This explains her obsession with Fiamma who has actually travelled and seen many places around the world.

omg also when Fiamma dies and she begs Miss G to help her, it's an irony for an earlier scene when Fiamma was sleeping at Miss's G room and Miss G whispered to her "Don't make me beg you" while seducing her !

So many powerful scenes, great movie !
