I just find it hard to believe that a reporter - even a locally known one - would be put on death row and his sentence carried out so quickly. If anything he would be on death row for years. To me it felt as if that part of the story was done in that manner merely to fit in with the rest of the plot.

I have not seen the original, so I don't know if the story unfolded in the same manner. This film is definitely not on my favorites list.

he got the death sentence and inmates await their good byes on death row. being on death row doesn't mean you die tomorrow. it could take years with all the appeal processes and what not.

you clearly hear the reporter in the movie say that C.J. Nicholas was on death row until his appeals exhaust.

Uh ... his sentence was never "carried out." He was sentenced, and sent to prison to await the "carrying out."

I don't know if I've lived 10,000 days, or one day 10,000 times...
