Did Michael Douglas lose a bet or something?

Did he even read the script? I can't blieve he acted in such amateur crap! I really cant believe with some of the talent involved that this film was such a stinker. It was predictable, cliche, and the acting (especially by Jesse Metcalfe) was horrible!
Scenes did not transition professionally or anything. The climax was a big rushed-in joke. Even the musical score was misplaced. Sheeesh!

Agreed. The camera work was jumpy and the cuts were generally unnecessary. The score sounded like something out of the 80s.

Good idea. Horrendous execution.

Try '70s. I immediately recognized David Shire who scored it as being heavily involved in the score of Saturday Night Fever (1977)

It looked like it had the production quality of a made for TV movie or a Lifetime movie at best. terrible.

I know. It was really bad. I was disappointed. I thought it would be a good movie with Michael Douglas in it. Boo!

reply

That's exactly what I was thinking, it had the feel of a made for TV movie that you would see on Lifetime. Very low-budget.

I don't criticize movies because I view them primarily for entertainment and I have not studied film like many people here, but I agree with the OP, this movie stunk.
