What if Michael Douglas actually did his job as DA?

Is it not one of the prosecutors first tasks to establish motive? You know, to establish a connection between the victim and the accused?

Since they had the reporter dude (forgot his character name) on the hot seat, would they not try and find a connection between him and the victim? Would they not watch his videos a million times to see if there was anything there? Would they not have psychologists and the like examine his reporting work videos to see if there were any ticks there? Would they not review his most IMPORTANT CAREER VIDEO and see an obvious likeness of the subject in his MOST IMPORTANT CAREER VIDEO and the dead victim? LORD KNOWS WE HAD TO WATCH EVERY FREAKING OJ SIMPSON MOVIE, COMMERCIAL, VIDEO, FOOTBALL FOOTAGE, ETC. FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS WHILE TALKING HEADS ANALYZED IT.... And then from their build a...ohh I dunno...an actual case? Maybe dig up phone records of the victim to the station, phone records to his home, etc. I found the most absurd thing to be that MDs character actually posted the false blood evidence when they could have easily secured a conviction by establishing such an obvious motive.

A real twist in this movie would have been if MDs character actually did his freaking job and nailed him with the motive connection during the trial...his ass would have been grass and then they could have spent the next 35 minutes showing him getting butt raped in prision and then put to death, which would have been better than the butt raping the audience had to endure for the next 35 minutes or however long the punishment lasted until the credits rolled.

ALSO: And this really bothered me right from the freaking get go. The ciggarrette but in the first trial. MY GOD YOU FIND A CIG BUT ON A PUBLIC STREET AND THATS YOUR CLINCHER FOR EVIDENCE? What kind of defense attorney did the criminal have? Even a public defender saddled with a massive workload could have had the obvious fortitude to blow that out of the water. The guy could have thrown that butt down earlier while he was walking in the street and bad luck would have placed a murder over it later.....or he could have smoked and thrown the butt, blocks or miles away from the scene and somebodys shoe or a car tire, etc could have carried it to the future spot of the scene. WHAT CRAP REALLY, I WAS HATING THE MOVIE RIGHT FROM THAT POINT ON!

Look I don't care when movies targeted to the subprime intellect market insult your intelligence, I actually enjoy mindless entertainement.....however, this is supposed to be a movie for adults, a big person movie, so why ohhhh why insult the audience soooo bad...and yess my spelling is horrid as I have neither patience nor time...well I have the time....anyway to look it over and revise cause this is teh freaking internetzwebbermagigger
