I was unable to suspend my disbelief
This plot was as far-fetched as anything on Syfy channel.
If was just a by-the-numbers thriller, I could have managed it but the premise of the plot, a reporter setting himself up as a perpetrator of murder, was unbelievably stupid and stupidly executed to boot.
For one thing, I'm damn sure it is illegal even for a reporter to do such a thing. As well, this reporter apparently had no idea that the cops could follow in his footsteps to find out what really happened. This is SOP, buy hey the writers didn't let that get in their way.
3rd, he couldn't have known that there was none of the murderer's DNA at the scene because he set himself up before any of that evidence had been returned. He could not know there would not be DNA associated with the crime.
Hmmm, what else? Oh yeah his buddy having to rush from the courtroom to get the evidence instead of just having a copy ready and available (there exist such things in this world as photocopies, flash drives, video-copying software ... just sayin'. And I could go on. That whole plot point was absurd.
Did anybody actually read this script to make sure it made any sense?
