The crux of this dude's whole defence revolves around the DVD footage right? I'm just saying, if that was me, I'd make about 100 copies of that footage and back it up on line. Those jack-asses deserve what they get for being so damn dumb.
Also, since you can make as many backups as you need, why not just make an extra copy and put it in your jacket pocket while you sit in court watching your friend? You wouldn't need to race across town back to your apartment to get it and you could still have backups at your home, your office, etc.
I really don't get the racing across town thing at all. They aren't going to convict him of murder in the next 30 minutes, are they? The defense is going to have a number of witnesses and they can surely get a day to study any last minute evidence that has appeared.
