It's not true love, for pathetic ella

At the end of the movie, the miserable ella betrayed CJ and informed the police.I can understand how shocking it is that the man you love,or just have sex with, killed somebody. But it's not a reason to leave a man you just sleep in bed with a few minutes earlier.

The protagonist ella have sex with cj because cj is handsome or just because ell is sexually active, there is no shred of evidence that ella has a crush with cj so she has intercourse with a man who she forsake at the end.
I don't mean sex before or without marriage and love is not pure, but I didn't see any emotional expression in the face of ella before she make love or make sex with cj.

Ella investigate the case which it seems that what cj said it's true, but not because she want to get cj out of jail,it's just because of curiosity and responsibility.Don't forget she is the assistant of the law office.

CJ kill that woman because he is threatened,a wife,in this case, the cheap ella is not cj's wife,a girlfriend should protect and pretend she doesn't know the murder and fake new report video.

Poor Ella suggest she is a expert or fan of Chinese food,I'm not sure this movie's background is LA or not,but allow me to convince you, this is no genuine Chinese restaurant inside LA,I mean Los Angeles, not Los Angeles County, the restaurants in Chinatown doesn't not really taste Chinese. And so many so called Hunan and Sichuan [ Szechwan and Szechuan ]restaurants spreading across LA or USA sell foods which doesn't have the slightest connection with Hunan or Sichuan style.
The original Hunan and Sichuan food is very spicy, even the Chinese who are not from Hunan or Sichuan province don't have the guts to try it.

Sorry,so many discussion in response of the fake Chinese food critic ella.

There are so many people who committed murder locked in jail, and their wifes and girlfriends still love them and go to see them.Of course, ella don't know what that feeling is.

That is why this movie is lame inspite the fact of casting Michael Douglas in it.

yes, she keeps her faith in him all this time and fights so hard to get him out.

Then at the first hunch of suspicion, showing no emotion she's like:
