Is there any animal cruelty here?

If so I won't watch it.

reply

Not really, it's not about the animals. There is one moment a tiger gets hit but it's out of self defence.

reply

The park that the main character runs is accused of animal cruelty.
I won't go into details to avoid spoilers, there is nothing graphic on screen.

What will probably keep you watching is the criminal and unusual lifestyle the humans engage in.
I do consider Tiger King to be way overrated, not an 8 at all... more like a 4/10, it's mostly shock.

No repeat value, just a documentary style production revolving around weird people.

reply

If there is no animal cruelty shown, I may watch it.

reply

It's now shown. But it's definitely implied and there are specific stories.

reply

Yes some, but it's still must see TV. It's like a car wreck. You feel like you shouldn't watch it, but you can't look away.
It's totally bonkers!

Breeding wild animals for business is animal cruelty.

reply

I don't know much about the show, so that is why I asked. I hear so much about it, but I think I will skip it.

reply

It’s not so much abuse as it is exploitation and neglect (very fine line anyway). But it feels good to know the guy was sent to prison.

reply

I probably wouldn't find any interest in someone who treats animals like that. I like movies and documentaries about strange and bizarre people, but I have to draw the line on this one. Animal abuse is just too much for me.

reply

I read comments from people with low tolerance for animal abuse portrayal that they could barely watch the first episode.

reply

Good to know. No interest in these people.

reply

Watch it for yourself and stop if you don’t to watch anymore.

Yep, that gay fakkit Tiger King killed his animals from alligators, crocodiles, tigers, lions, and probably more in horrendous ways. It's about how he covered it up, but we only get a glimpse of his life behind closed doors. I suppose he needed the money for his defense and that's why we have this documentary. It's not blatant violence, but the descriptions and bones found may disturb you. If you enjoy humans getting it from the large felines, then you'd enjoy it. The humans also stick it to each other. Then there's Carole Baskin. She comes out relatively unscathed due to her husband and his wealth, but we should know more in Season 2.
