In today's streaming world, this is a pretty good series, but beware, for all the lily-white whiners, the cast is very diverse, so of course they are crying "woke."
There are some plot miscues, but over all, an entertaining series.
Also, watch for elements brought in from the "blaxploitation" flicks of the 70s. Those were a nice touch sprinkled here and there.
No it wasn't it was hard for me to watch all the episodes its all over the place and really very poorly written.
My father couldnt even sit through it and he is a fan of all the novels.
Just go and watch Botsch it puts this to shame and that is loosely based on source material showing that is not the issue.
While firstly assuming that all the so called whiners are lily white is kinda racist in and of itself. We anti wokes come in all different colors genders and sexualities.
That said I did find the police brutality/defund the police schtick somewhat preachy. As far as the show itself it's really not that good IMO. I had high hopes because it sounded good and I liked Aldis Hodge from Leverage but it's kinda bland.
