The character of Chris was the sum of many original characters.

In name and character, Chris is one big nod to many original characters from the original franchise. Or so it seemed to me. Chime in if you agree.

Like Kristen (4): lived with her single mom in an upscale neighborhood and drove a VW convertible
Like Kristen (3): encountered herself as a little girl in her dreams
Like Tina (1): died in exactly the same way after wandering outside the house in her dream
Also like Tina (1): appeared to Nancy in her dream (in a bloody body bag)
Like Nancy (1): boyfriend jumped at the upstairs window trying to sneak in
Like Sheila (4): first encountered Freddy in class after falling asleep at her desk
Like Alice (5): woke up next to her boyfriend, went into the bathroom, came back and "woke up" again, this time next to Freddy
