Worst movie score in 30 years

The entire time watching this I just wish I was watching COMMANDO. Steel drums, raging guitar riffs and all.

Yeah this movie is supposed to be set in the 80s. But a 2014 audience is watching it. We don't respond to that music in the same way anymore. It was a nice creative risk, but didn't pay off at all and ruined the movie in the process.

Ever heard of Nostalgia?

You can't call it "worst" but you can say it wasn't to your liking.

Many of us appreciate dark synth music.

This film is a COMEDY taking the mickey out of a genre, like the Naked Gun films. Therefore its score is a clever, well considered pastiche of what the director thinks were all those cheesy old violent crime dramas from the 70s and 80s.

i loved it personally... epic sound track.

It was nice music, but it felt like too much music was used. Few scenes would have been better with no music.

I loved the score.

The movie wasn't made tfor the 2014 audience. The movie was made for people that understand that it was purposely nostalgic in the tie period, the type of music used , and the fact that movies from that time often overused music in crime dramas. The writers and directors stated in the extras that he wanted people to fel that the movie was made during that time.

*beep* moron! The score is excellent.

Agreed.

There’s retro, and there’s just plain dated.
Cheap, tinny.

Awful.

80’s movies had the worst scores in history.
Don’t believe me? Go check a few.
Come to think of it, 80’s movies comorised cinema’s worst decade ever.
One look at the garbage we paid actual hard-earned dollar to sit in a dark house to see, and I only have three words:

STARVED FOR ENTERTAINMENT
