One thing that didn’t make much sense (spoilers)
So after he committed the massacre, Melmont travels all the way from Wyoming to London in order to extort money from Trafford’s fiancée? How much time and how much did it cost to make that trip in 1875? He says to her that it is urgent that she gets the money right away, but wouldn’t she know that half a year would have passed before Melmont could get to London and back? Very strange plot point. It would have been more believable if she lived in New York or Boston.
