Questionable Song-Placement

I understand that when you come up with songs for musicals, it's not always easy to find the best spot to place them into the movie, but here are 3 times that I think this movie could've done a little better…

1) Someone Gets Hurt

Why is Regina singing this dramatic song at the time when she is the one who is about to hurt Cady? Is she completely oblivious to her own actions? Is she singing it FOR Cady?

Solution: Put this song in after Aaron breaks up with Regina, and then she'll have the necessary emotion to go along with the song.

2) Revenge Party

Why are they singing a celebratory revenge-song when they haven't even gotten their revenge yet? The party shouldn't start until the deed is done–Right?

Solution: Put this song in after Regina is kicked out of the Plastics, and then it'll be time to pop the champagne and celebrate.

3) I'd Rather Be Me

Why is Janis singing about how she'd rather be her right after she totally backstabs Cady and reveals their secret to the whole school? Janis, are you sure that you're that proud of yourself? Perhaps you should put your finger down and go away quietly.

Solution: Put this song in after Damian and Janis tell Cady the story about how Janis and Regina used to be besties and then went their separate ways.
