Did David's father get rid of the body? Was Katie's body in the trunk

Yes, the son left the gift of his dead wife for him as payback.

Naturally the father was the one clever enough to clean up his son's murdering of his wife and organized the family friend to pretend to be the wife.

I think you are right Denise. The father got real angry when he was watching the TV where they were talking about the other two murders & stood up and stumbled out of the room. I think the impact of his behavior in helping his son by covering up her murder, hit him at that time & he realized his actions helped his son kill two more times. Would be nice if it were true that he finally realized how his behavior enabled his son... One can only hope that nasty old man really did suffer a little bit in the end.

He totally had it coming. If he protected his 7yo son instead of exposing him to his mothers death like that, he might have grown in to happy healthy person, instead, this wreck...

That was his old man neighbor's body, did you miss the courtroom scene at the end where he confesses? He wasn't dressing in drag while he was married to Katie.
