I woulda left him as soon as...

he made me get an abortion!! And I'm PRO-CHOICE but they're supposed to be "happily married" and there's no way I would let him do that to me. She really wanted that baby!!

I don't see that situation as being entirely his fault, though. She already knew he did not want children and that he did not plan on ever having kids. She *assumed* that, because he said something was wrong with him, it meant he couldn't have children at all.

A woman should never be forced into a decision like that, but come on. She shares some of the blame. Ultimately, it was still her choice. She was at the clinic alone.

He didn't "make" her do sh!t. She made the decision herself.

Plus, this man was 100% protected against divorce or anything of the sort. She would not have had any of his assets to take care of the kid and as far as the film showed, she was pretty much a freeloader and could not support herself in the slightest (she was still in college).

And I agree with the poster above me: he made it more than clear enough that he didn't want kids because there was something wrong with him. If she took that to mean he was sterile, that's on her for drawing conclusions prematurely.

I did feel a lot of sympathy for the woman throughout the movie, but they both shared an equal amount of blame on that one.

It's not clear if he forced her to get an abortion but after that abortion I definitly would have left.

Except he didn't "make" her. He convinced her it was for the best. But it was HER decision.
