In the film, did he murder two women before he killed his wife?

Unless I just have a terrible attention span (which I sometimes do), didn't Marx (Durst) kill two women in this film, before he killed his wife?

His wife finds the bloody underwear of the 2nd victim.

The fact that she approaches him with it rather than calling the police was really stupid, obviously.

So they are speculating that Marx (Durst) is a serial killer?

Maybe he is.

In real life, it is thought that he may have killed at least 1 teenaged girl, but that was in the 1990s.

The thing she confronted him with was not a bloody underwear, it was a blood bandana. The bandana that she had tied around the neck of their dog earlier.

When she came home drunk, she asked where the dog was. David said it was in the kennel because it bit him. When she went to the shed, however, she saw the bandana and knew that David had killed the dog while she was away.

And no, the film did not show David killing two women before his wife disappeared. I'm not sure where you got that impression.

No. We don't see him kill his wife either, though it is inferred that he does. 🐭
