Parallel stories

Watching this movie made me think of Mimi Beardsely, a 19 year old intern who had an affair with President Kennedy – another smooth charmer – about the same time as Jenny’s affair with David.

Mimi was a college student that entered a world of skinny-dipping with the president, yachting on the Potomac, flying on official tours, and attending wild parties with Hollywood celebrities.

Mimi began dating her eventual husband while trysting with the President and she had to hide her robust sexual experience from him, much like Jenny pretended not to be so worldly when meeting nice boys at Oxford.

Unlike Jenny, Mimi knew the president was married with children, but she too became enamored with the glamour and sophistication of high society.

That would be a great movie.
