You are overlooking the ruin Smaug made of Dale and the Dwarves he slaughtered (and ate) when he first occupied the Mountain. Not to mention the lives he snuffed out at in Lake-town at the beginning of TH:BotFA.

I dont think that's entirely true. He ate dwarves and others who sneaked into Erebor. And he ate a good deal of Dwarvish meat during his attack on Erebor. But I think he was in a state of hibernation or something during his sixty-year long rein at the Lonely mountain.

Oh, surely longer than that. What Thorin says at Bag End is:
THORIN: If we have read these signs, do you not think others will have read them too? Rumours have begun to spread. The dragon Smaug has not been seen for sixty years.
That does not mean that Smaug invaded Erebor 60 years ago; it indicates that that was the most recent sighting of the dragon. Both Kili and Fili should be older than 60 years and they were born after Thorin led his followers to the Blue Mountains. The best estimate I can come up with is that Smaug came to the Lonely Mountain at least 120 years before the Quest of Erebor (and in the book it was more than 140 years before Thorin's quest).

OMG Then Thorin must be somewhere near 200 when he the quest began. I don't know what their average age is but I dont think Dwarves would make it to 1000. Peter made him look a lot younger than he is.

According to JRRT, Thorin Oakenshield was born in TA 2746 and so was about 195 years old when he died after the Battle of Five Armies. He was the oldest member of the company. Dwarves seem to have a lifespan of roughly 250 to 400 years. The Father of the Longbeards, Durin the Deathless, was called that because he lived for an extremely long time (and because Durin's Folk believed that he would be reincarnated several times). The Heirs of Durin also tended towards long lifespans, though they often died in violence.

We can guess that Richard Armitage's Thorin was a bit younger than his literary counterpart. In the films, Balin and Dwalin (and at least Óin as well) were supposed to be older than Thorin--Dwalin by only a few years.
