Nice to see some realism...

...on one of these show. I'm refering to the Kentucky monster on season 4, episode 2, at 5:59 where the guy opens the camera trap and we see something is actively living in the inner workings of the camera trap! If these guys ever really took this stuff serious, they might be a tad concerned about things like photo contamination by a bug setting off the thing from the inside. This could easily produce a distorted photo of something dark and mysterious caught on a picture. I always just assumed these things would be airtight, if honest investigation were going on, I mean, after all, forests tend to be filled with insects. Surely scientists would be worried about such contamination, wouldn't they? A bunch of drama queen amatuer TV jockeys wouldn't, heck, they might even.....encourage it!?!

Hi ha, I noticed this too! They showed it twice when he opened that camera trap. There was what looked like a spider or a bugs nest (made out of that cotton-looking stuff) stuck to the inside door of the camera. Plus, you could see several bugs scurrying around as he opened it. I kind of wondered if this would have any effect on the mechanisms of the camera in any way. Or if it could distort any pictures that were taken. Obviously that camera had been hanging up there for quite awhile since bugs had a chance to build there nest inside. I wonder how those cameras are maintained to ensure they work properly?
