Sea monsters do exist!

Would you say this is as close as we'll get to seeing a real one:www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAEuOnWnXVI

Fascinating clip.

Hard to say what the difference between this and an actual sea serpent would be, and this goes for creatures like the oarfish and other types of sharks.

The open ocean is by far the best place to look for truly unknown, fantastic animals. There is no reason to believe that completely undiscovered creatures might still be at the ocean's depths. They would tend to surface on on the rarest of occasions.

It is a million times more plausible than unknown "apes" who are essentially just tall hairy humans existing in the Northwest.

Wow.. thanks... nightmares tonight!

That is indeed spot on for many descriptions of "Sea Monsters".
Obviously there are things swimming around in the ocean depths
that are still uknown and terrifying. That creature didn't seem
at all afraid or shy towards humans, yet they are rarely seen or
photographed.
Even now, new creatures are discovered all the time. Things like
this renew my faith in the possibility of other unknown beasties...
