So, has an episode ever ended in a victory?

Has anything ever been exposed on the show? How many defeats can we take?

Actually, there was an episode called "Tigers in Suburbia", which was about large, lack cats in Palisade, about 20 miles from New York City, In which they did find tracks consistent with that of a leopard, which can be melanistic (all black).

For the most part though, I think that's about it.

Didn't they capture a couple of seconds of a live Giant Squid?

I think the Giant Squid in the Sea of Cortez, Mexico is the ONLY episode where they actually may have capture proof a cryptid. I'm surprised MQ hasn't sponsored a return to that same area to spend more time and equipment capturing more footage.

On a related note, they wasted a lot of time looking for Megalodon in the same area and based on their field searching it appears that what people were reporting were whale sharks breaching the surface, nothing more.

They did have about 20 minutes of the Loch Ness monster coming on shore and laying eggs in the sand, but there was a wave and the vidoes were all dropped overboard. For some reason they didnt think to get an egg when nessie split. So one victory, 206 near misses.

Nessie eggs in the sand? I never saw that one, but on a similar episode they had the late Dr. Hinesman(sp?) who claimed to have located a decaying Nessie carcass and even supplied video footage of it. The sad thing with that is that the Dr.'s team didn't have the equipment to either examine the carcass further or have it removed and surfaced for more detailed analysis, oh and there was supposedly "rough weather" hampering the expedition. To top it all off, they didn't leave a marker or location spot on their maps so that they could return later to re-examine their find.

I think that a couple of years ago there was an episode where some mysterious beast was killing dogs in the eastern USA. Some cameras were set up and one snapped a picture of a cougar (Felis concolor).
