The Lizard man thing has to be the most unbelieveable thing ever suggest

ed. I think this was a new season 4 show, and let me get this straight, its a 9 foot tall lizard man head to waist, who floats in essentially a trash can. Look im open to some of the more plausible things like aliens, large ape creatures, etc.; but cmon this episode really left me scratching my head. But I still think its a fun show to watch.

I must admit this is the first time I've ever laughed when seeing one of their creature mock ups. The damn thing looked like a cross between a Dalek and Oscar the Grouch! LOL

I'm just wondering how they could even make the connection between the Flatwoods Monster and the Star Child Skull. The latter has always piqued my curiosity and I was very pleased to see it being mentioned, but... that should have been an entirely different episode all it's own.

i think the funniest thing, is if you could humor this, it would have to be an alien, but they almost went out of their way to call it a monster and not an alien, until like the last quote in the show, i dont know why they didnt play the alien angle to begin with.

I was wondering the same thing! The show went from describing the sightings of this supposed alien/monster thing in one area of the US. Then jumped to compare this to the Star Child Skull in another part of the country. I was thinking, how are these related? Yes, I get the connection that the Star Child is perhaps a humanoid hybrid and the lizard monster is thought to be one as well (if it exists). It was just strange that the show focused so much time and study on the Star Child Skull, when they seemed to have forgotten that the topic of the show was actually the other guy. In fact, the "scientific" investigation out in the woods was a minimal aspect of the show.

P.S I love the topic of the Star Child. But I wish they would have given it it's own episode rather than bunching it in with th lizard monster. It was like the two topics individually wouldn't make a full episode, so they put them together by attempting to make a very loose connection between the two.

check wiki for it, there is apparently some genetic condition that creates a very similar looking skull; however i am not aware if there is anything regarding the bone density

you know though i noticed that while watching several other episodes, they go off tangents a lot, i mean sometimes its related tangents, but a good example is the piranha in the US episode, almost half of it was just talking about whether or not piranhas are actually as bad as they appear to be (Jeremy wade, river monster, i think quite easily disproved this - despite them still playing the dangerous stick on the monsterquest episode) - i mean me and my dad where like wtf , are there piranhas in the US lake or not, i dont care about them in south america at the moment

oh well, i still like the show, at least its not that show on sci fi, that has to honestly be the worst show i have ever scene, its like 15 minutes each on subjects that need a solid hour, and then some stuff like mermaids that i think most even among the crytids fanbase would say are just legend, plus the host, its because of guys like him that cryptids take a hit in credibility, look its nice he is excited and likes this stuff, but he freaking thinks any time the wind blows a blade of grass he is seeing something - he is the sterotypical buffon who jumps at his own shadow - and as a result those who approach the subject with a more rational standpoint get lumped in with him, and everyone is a nut

Nothing could be as excruciatingly embarrassing as the RODS episode / ¬

That episode was hilarious to me, since I've spent a lot of time at the lake in question (Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks). First, there is a real legend of monsters in the lake that they would have been better off looking for: giant catfish - "as big as a pickup truck", or "big enough to swallow a man whole", as the locals put it. This story is much like stories of lake monsters in other places (all belief is for it, but all evidence is against it), and some such things do take the form of giant fish. If they need to pad out the hour, they could spend some time talking about the Mekong giant catfish, which is both real and very impressive.

The last time I visited the area, I asked people about piranhas in the lake, and they said they never heard of such a thing, and don't believe in any of that "monster" stuff. But giant catfish - them's for REAL!
