Why do brides always get all giddy with delight when a wedding dress has POCKETS????????????? What are they putting in the pockets? A wallet? Their hands? I just don't get it.
Unless specified as fact, everything above is 100% my opinion.
A handkerchief? A lipstick? A small comb? I often wish I had pockets in some of my skirts for a handkerchief.

Actually the wedding dresses with pockets are cool. I really like them. Offside, I once went to a formal function that required gowns. I found one with pockets, and everyone loved it.

shareFor some a dress with pockets is necessary. I have an insulin pump for type 1 diabetes, and I will NEED a wedding dress to have pockets or else I will not have a place for my pump. Others might want one with pockets for their own reasons. In general dresses with pockets are rarer than dresses without pockets so some think it is just a "cool" factor.

The odd thing is when I have worn dresses with pockets, people comment on how cool that is (usually men!). I used to teach high school and the male students would always say how they love dresses with pockets. I still find that weird LOL.
I love pockets. I'd buy a bathing suit with pockets if I could. lol
I have some pants without pockets and when I start to reach into the pocket I get mad when it's not there. My sinuses bother me a lot and I always carry tissues to blow my nose. Pockets are practical for me.
I, myself, would probably not get a wedding dress with pockets...but it'd be convenient to have them if you wanted to carry tissues or your vows!

I'm a bride-to-be, and I will probably be very emotional during my ceremony because I've been waiting for my wedding day for a long time. It would be great to have some tissues in my pocket so I can nab any tears before they run down my face and streak all my makeup!
