I used to love this show and while I still enjoy seeing some of the dresses, the brides and thier stories are becoming sickening. Every episode is exactly the same, every bride is more annoying than the last. More than any of that is the repetitive shmultsy "how we meet" story.
"Mike and I met 3 years ago through a mutual friend, I knew right away that he was the one, he supports me in everything I do. He is truly my best friend and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!"
No more please god no more!!! I like Randy, I love the gowns and if we could skip the stories and focus more on the actual garments over the brides and the lame drama I would love this show still.
Not all the brides have the same story. There are some who have survived cancer or horrible auto accidents. Some have recently lost a mother. Some have fathers who are hoping to live long enough to see their daughters married. Some are marrying professional athletes. A few are renewing their vows. Some have supportive entourages, while others have very bossy and/or negative family/friends. Some want beautiful traditional dresses while others want slutty or very ostentatious. Every bride is different.
I have kept one episode in which Syndal Gordin, who was going to marry New York Yankees "royalty" pitcher Chad Gaudin (who pitched for my Washington Nationals when the show was aired) came to Kleinfeld's with Yankee wives Amber Sabathia (Mrs. C.C. Sabathia, who pitched for the Yankees against my Nats in a spring training game yesterday) and Karen Burnett (Mrs. A.J. Burnett, who pitched for the Yankees, the Pirates, and is now with the Phillies). Chad Gaudin has since pitched for the Marlins and the Giants. Amber and Karen were total hoots, even drinking champagne in the bathroom, as they weren't allowed to drink it on the sales floor!
Boo Hoo! Let me wipe away the tears with my PLASTIC hand!--Lindsey McDonald (Angel)
What I am getting tired of is seeing the same dresses season after season. It seems that Pnina Tornai's see through dress has become a staple of the Kleinfeld store. In one of the recent shows it showed two brides who purchased the same style dress. It is time to show different styles of dresses.
