Top Ten things that drive you crazy about this show

Well, I don't know if I can come up with ten, but here are my favorite peeves about this TV show:

1) Brides who bring an entourage of 10 and then are "confused" by the variety of opinions voiced about their dress choices

2) Now that I think about it, entourages, period.

3) Brides who feel the need to have yet another big expensive white dress for wedding 2 or 3 or beyond

4) Pnina Tournea hooker-fairy dresses

5) Everyone who wants a mermaid dress when that probably isn't the best siloutte for the average figure

6) Brides who talk about how they always get what they want and deserve

7) Brides who (apparently) don't solicit the opinion of their consultant on which kind of silouette looks good on them

8) Never, ever, is the fabric content mentioned on this show. I assume that the higher end dresses are silk, but no one ever comes out to say that--they only talk about "bling" as driving up the cost. Seldom do brides talk about how the fabric feels.

9) oh right, that word "bling."

10) Brides who are pobably spending a huge percentage of their annual income on this dress

1) Brides who go overbudget on dresses that don't look any different than the lower priced dresses.
2) That ugly Pnina Tornai see through dress. Someone please retire that dress already.
3) Consultants that blatantly lie to brides telling them that they look good in a dress even though their dairies are spilling out of the dress.
4) Brides who have been planning their whole lives for the big day yet have no clue as to which dress they like.

11. Brides who put way too much emphasis on a dress they are going to wear once for a couple of hours. Put that effort into making your marriage work so our divorce rate isn't 50%. A wedding is one day, make a marriage to remember.

12. The slutty, see through corset dress. (Seems we all hate it).

13. Spoiled, selfish brides who don't care about going over the budget.

14. Overweight brides who insist on wearing strapless gowns. Hey, ladies look at the backview would you? The back fat fighting to get free by hanging over the dress is not attractive. Just because strapless may be all the rage right now, doesn't mean it looks good on YOU.

15. All I see week after week is strapless and more strapless. Enough already and it will be so dated in a few years. It's not an elegant look in my opinion and very few brides have picked one that was flattering and yet unique.

17. The older consultant with the black hair and the dark pencil lined lips. This is NYC - you should look like you know what decade you are in.

18. As mentioned, the brides that bring 10 people with them to try on gowns.

Amen to #11!

19. I can't stand all the crying and sobbing over a DRESS as they look at themselves in the mirror. "Oh!" sob "I feel like a bride", sniffle, sniffle Ladies, are your fiances trying on tuxes and crying "Now I feel like a groom!"

I'd get fired as a consultant real fast. I would lose patience with the criers and tell them that it's a dress for ONE day. They are all overpriced considering the amount of time you will wear them.

I don't mean to criticize a woman for being a bit emotional about her big day. But really, you are going to be a bride for one day. You'll be a WIFE a lot longer. Get your priorities straight.

Granted, the dress is for one day. But it will be in the pictures and the video forever. That being said, I do think the budget should be reasonable.

1. Selfish mothers who don't care that their daughter LOVES a dress - they want what THEY want and screw the kid's happiness - and feelings.

2. Selfish sisters/bridesmaids/etc. as in #1.

3. Fiances who are concerned with what they like regardless of what their bride-to-be likes.

4. Women with mondo tattoos that think they look elegant and nice with strapless dresses that show the disgusting faded ink.

5. FAT chicks with 94 DDDDDDDDDDD cups that stick out enough to be able to knock the minister on his but as they make it to the altar. And think they look hot in a strapless.

6. Brides who fly in on private jets to buy $35K dresses as Daddy smiles on benevolently.

7. Brides whose moms/dads are not rich and are paying for the dress, and the brides have no compunction about pouting about a way more expensive one until they get parental capitulation.

8. Brides who try on altered dresses and think, no, that's NOT the dress I bought!!!!

9. Vow-renewal brides who have to go through the same expensive, stupid, all-out experience again to validate their wonderful marriage.

10. Male entourage friends who think they know what looks good on their female friend rather than the bride actually being the one who knows.

You gave me a good laugh. I miss the days when you actually had to cover your cleavage, back and upper arms when you went to church.

In all fairness, some people don't realize that some dresses just don't suit them well. My late mother-in-law owned a boutique and was often able to steer customers away from dresses that didn't suit them into dresses that looked much better on them. I think the mothers/sisters/friends can be that way too. Or not.

AMEN to number 9! All they are doing is showing off by having a "PPD", or "Pretty Princess Day." It's ridiculous and stupid.

9. Vow-renewal brides who have to go through the same expensive, stupid, all-out experience again to validate their wonderful marriage.

I will have to take a little exception to this. Some of us had low-budget weddings—I wore a borrowed gown a size too big—and see a vow renewal as an opportunity to have the wedding we didn't have at first.

I personally never did the vow renewal, but I thought about it and would like to have had the gown I didn't get the first time around. And it became very important for us to make sure our daughter was married in her dream gown.

I wonder if she had that tattooed on. I have a relative who had eye liner tattooed on and it just as ridiculous as the lip liner. You would think that if it wasn't tattooed on after the first time she saw herself on TV she would realize how ridiculous she looks.

Unless specified as fact, everything above is 100% my opinion.

1. Entourages of more than 3 people and wedding parties with more than 4 bridesmaids. You don't have that many close friends, stop trying to look popular.

2. Strapless dresses. I wonder if that store even carries dresses with sleeves?

3. Mermaid dresses. I don't care how skinny you are, your hips and ass look huge.

4. Pnina dresses. It costs a lot of money to look that cheap.

5. Vow renewal brides. You already had your wedding day. Go home.

6. Spoiled brats.

7. Consultants who pull dresses over the bride's budget. They obviously do it on purpose hoping they'll fall in love with it and splurge.

8. Sob stories. I don't care if they had cancer/car accident/dead parents, etc. Stop trying to make us cry.

9. The fake scripted staff meetings at the beginning of the episodes.

10. Tacky bling.

Love #5! The vow renewal dress. Really, what is the point? Spend 5 minutes with a preacher and renew your vows. You don't need to play dress up again do you?

Hmm.. I don't know if I can come up with 10 things but I definitely have a few, lol

1. The weird see-through dress everyone seems to think is sexy
2. Brides who don't get a dress they like simply because their entourage doesn't unanimously agree on it
3. Entourage members who absolutely hate a dress until the bride gets "jacked up" in it and then they magically love it and start crying etc..

Pnina dresses. It costs a lot of money to look that cheap. Too funny.

1. Bride bringing a bunch of jerks with her to the appointment.

2. Bride not having the balls to tell her haters to pipe the eff down.

3. Bride wanting a ?super sexy? dress. you're getting married, not going to a meat market.

4. Bride expecting the person paying to double or triple their budget because they don't know how to stick to a price.

5. Brides that look great but have zero confidence.

6. Fiancé/husband at the appointment.

7. Giant ballgowns

8. Wanting to look like a ?princess?.

9. The prices. You can find comparable prices for under $1500.

10. Brides who want all ?bling?.

Number 6, definitely. I especially hate it when the fiancé's throw in their opinion about the dress. They are not wearing it, buying it, and have no clue about dresses. Worst of all, it makes the brides look completely submissive to the chauvinistic grooms.

Number 9 - Yes!!

I love when a bride says "I'm trying not to spend too much money" What? Lady, you went to Kleinfeld's. You are not finding an affordable dress at Kleinfeld's, unless you consider $1,500 affordable.

Um, that IS affordable for a wedding dress. Unless you're buying off the rack, or a dress that is lower quality, it's hard to find a good wedding dress for under $1k-$1500 minimum.

The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts.

Actually I ordered my dress from a catalog at the wedding dress shop (after trying on enough to know what I DIDN'T like) and dress WITH alterations came to about $700 is all. In fact, the number $686 sticks in my mind. And it had plenty of beading, sequins and pearls and it was NOT strapless OR a "hooker dress". I just wished it had been more of the champagne color shown in the catalog but in photos it appeared pure white, which I wasn't that crazy for. So I was at least glad I hadn't spent $5 grand on it.

Um, that IS affordable for a wedding dress. Unless you're buying off the rack, or a dress that is lower quality, it's hard to find a good wedding dress for under $1k-$1500 minimum.

I've seen bridal shows on infotainment tv shows were the hosts brought out expensive designer gowns and inexpensive bridal gowns ($150-$800) to see if the audience could pick out the big ticket dresses. Many women in the audience thought the cheaper dresses were the expensive ones. On this show I saw one of the more modest dress designs fom Pnina Tournea's collection. It looks like it could have been made in Home Economics class on a string budget. Just yards of lace criss-crossed and thrown over a piece of silk covering a dress maker's dummy.

Entourages in general!

Spoiled brats, especially those with Daddy's credit card

Brides who think they're fat/self-concious when they're pretty healthy

Brides who are renewing their vows

Brides who bring their finace

Mothers who are stubborn and don't like any dress their daughters like

Those sluty wedding gowns

Brides who wanna be sexy on their wedding day, it's your wedding it should be somewhat tasteful but come on, you wanna show your kids your wedding photos someday. Leave the sexiness for the wedding night.

Brides who go to Kleinfelds to try on dresses and put on a fashion show rather than purchase a gown, it's very rude to the salesperson, who depends on the sale as their income

Brides who can afford to fly across the country to try on dresses at Kleinfeld

Brides who say my fiance is the best guy I have ever met. NO DUH!

Most have mine have already been said, but:

When the consultants put them in a beautiful dress and then tell them they can't afford it.

Brides who hate literally everything.

Brides that buy a dress in one size, purposely lose 50 pounds, and then whine when it doesn't fit anymore.

The lady with the tattooed on lip liner. I don't dislike her, just her face.

When they air episodes of SYTTD Atlanta instead; I don't like their consultants.

Father's who insist their daughters be covered more than a mummy.

Mermaid dresses too... is it just me, or do they always look like they can't freakin walk in those?

Brides who find a dress they love but won't stop shopping for another one.

Rude "entourages" who make fun of the bride for putting on certain dresses.

Brides barely out of High School spending a gazillion dollars on one dress.

And what about the 40 or 50-something bride who insists on wearing a dress designed for a 20 year old? Lots of wrinkles and age spots showing in that strapless dress is NOT sexy; it's not even attractive!

Or the bride whose wedding is obviously a costume party and not really a wedding? One needed a dress to go with her fairy wings! How old are you? Five?

Finally it's the bride who normally shops at Omar's Tents and Awnings expecting this upscale bridal shop to carry a sample size 45 in every design! They finally come out in a dress that has a yard of fabric pinned between the zipper opening. Then the consultant has to call the manufacturer to see if they even make the dress in the size needed.

I'm not knocking old fat women who want to get married. I am an old, fat married woman! I just don't see the point in some of these brides buying a gown.

The brides who come in looking for something "unique" or "different" -- and then buy that same Pnina Tornai dress that they sell every show.

dsouther4- Regarding those heavy brides, it makes me crazy when one of the consultants tries to get her client in a sample that is obviously TOO small and it rips! I saw one overweight bride who was in tears when she ripped the sample. She felt so bad. I really blame a consultant for not having common sense. The consultant may feel awkward for saying that they don't have a sample of the dress that the bride could fit into. But imagine how awkward the bride feels when she rips it.

The most thing that annoy me is when brides go overbudget and thinks their parents or fiancee will pay without problem. Most of all is how they don't seem to understand the value of money yet. I kind of wonder how anyone think they are ready to marry.

I hate when the entourage takes it upon themselves to pull dresses when EVERYONE KNOWS KLEINFELD DOESN'T LIKE THIS.

and

When the entourage pulls dresses out of the Brides price range and insist she try it on because to them the budget doesn't matter. I hate that.
