Ladies, you're NOT CURVY, You're FATTTTTT!!!

So my wife watches this show a lot, and I must admit, I'll watch too from time to time. I keep seeing the promos for an upcoming episode with a bunch of VERY large women. THey keep saying "if you have the curves, show the curves." I keep thinking, PLEASE DON'T .

It doessn't count as curves it's you're a big circle. Women need to get in touch with reality. Fat is fat, curvy is cirvy, let's not call one thing another thing to make ourselves feel better.

I know many people see this as mean, I know I'll be attacked as a bad Christian due to my sig, but I'm just being real.

If you love Jesus Christ and are 100% proud of it, copy this and make it your signature!

OP, unless you look like Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Reynolds, or Channing Tatum-- which I'm sure you don't-- you have no business criticizing other people's bodies...

Fat is just not attractive. 99% of the people that say they are fat due to medical conditions are lying, they are fat because they eat too much and don't exercise. Being fat doesn't mean you are curvy, being fat just means you are fat and i'm sorry but none of those fat brides really look nice and it's so sad they are being told they are beautiful.

Neither is being a shallow jackass.

99% of the people that say they are fat due to medical conditions are lying, they are fat because they eat too much and don't exercise.

That's a very simplistic viewpoint.

Akrisluvskev, it's not how much they eat, it's what they are eating. High Fructose Corn Syrup, Enriched Bleached flour in large quantities=obesity. Take soda for example, since the 70s they've been adding high fructose corn syrup to our food, specifically soda. High Fructose corn syrup screws with your appetite suppressant, any studies attempting to negate the harmful effects have been totally ignored. In the late 80s, early 90s Pepsi Cola bought out a great deal of brands Oligopoly style and starting forcing HFCS into their brands. If you want to find a brand of soda that doesn't use it, you'll have to find a local brand. I actually did an experiment once, I gave up HFCS and Enriched Bleached flour for a year. The results were astounding, I love 30 pounds by doing nothing whatsoever. The processed garbage that exists in your food is making people fatter by the decade. The obesity rates started increasing in the late 70s-early 90s, that is a direct correlation. You can deny it as some crazy conspiracy theory if you want...except it's not a conspiracy at all. Read your food labels, most boxed and bottled foods contain one of these products.

Also take into account the fact that most people live in suburbia and commute to work via cars. Most suburban neighborhoods don't really have side walks or they're so surrounded by strip malls that there's not much room for mobility. Our entire societal layout has been destroyed. Most of these people commute to white collar jobs and sit in front of a computer all day long or answer phone calls. Forget about manual labor, those are reserved for immigrants or very poor blue collar workers. Those that own their own independent construction businesses are kind of flukes in the system. At the end of their long boring work day of sitting around listening to people whine at the end of a phone line, all these people want to do is lie down and sit in front of a tv/computer. In the 80s and 90s television culture was huge, not Internet culture has usurped its place making mobility even less necessary. We don't even have to go to the store to buy things anymore and people like this convenience. Our workdays have increased, our pay has gotten smaller, our standard of living has been dwindling. No pensions, no retirement, little benefits. Food is also comfort in that aspect of our lives. Cracking open the bag of potato chips after a long day and sit in front of the tv, makes people feel better. When is there time for these people to exercise? When do they have the energy?

Finally, the increase in the availability of prescription medication is a huge factor in the increasing overweight population. So to say that medical issues aren't a problem is just false. They are a problem and it's being heavily denied by doctors. I know this first hand because I've taken medication and I've had doctors refuse to believe some of the side effects I've gone through.

A lot of medications that weren't available in the past, have been available for decades now for very simple disorders most people endured. Take Lupis, most of the medications available cause huge amounts of weight gain. Or take something more common, epilepsy, depression, bipolar disorders, mood disorders or thyroid disorders. (Oh and don't forget about birth control, weight gain is a side effect). A lot of these medications have been linked to weight gain. I personally have epilepsy and started taking medication at age 8. There are pictures of me in the spring, age 8, where I'm a string bean. Fast forward to Christmas pictures of me at age 9, just a few months later and I was 20 pounds heavier and extremely round. I was an obese child at that point. A few growth spurts allowed me to lose some of that weight and reach an overweight BMI instead of Obese, but still that's not much better. I'm a short person and didn't grow very much after the age of 13. I played sports all of my life too, gymnastics since the age of 5, soccer since the age of 8, I tried basketball and softball. I also loved swimming and did so frequently.

I didn't start eating more, so how can this be explained? The simple solution is that the medication changed my body and my metabolism and years of that is going to do some damage to your body. I can remember coming home from high school and sleeping for hours. Then going to bed and sleeping the entire night. I just did not have the energy to physically do anything, I could feel it so don't tell me I was just being lazy and eating too much. *beep* you. I actually went off the meds for a few months and lost 20 pounds by doing absolutely nothing. Unfortunately that didn't work and I had to be placed back on it again. It wasn't until I changed my medicine to a more weight neutral one that I started to lose weight. Since then, I've been eating the same as I always have, and my weight is starting to come back to normal.

How do you explain that?

You wouldn't understand the first thing about being overweight and what causes it. You've never been overweight, you've just been thin all of your life and judge other people because you want to feel self righteous.

Being fat doesn't mean you are curvy, being fat just means you are fat and i'm sorry but none of those fat brides really look nice and it's so sad they are being told they are beautiful.

Clearly you don't understand what being beautiful means, that's obvious because you have no beauty whatsoever. You are a hideous person on the inside and all of that ugliness is going to come out to the surface one day. (if not already, I'd like to see a picture of what you look like personally. I doubt you're good looking in the slightest). When you're an old, wrinkly, smelly elderly person, no one will want anything to do with you because of the way you treated people. I'm sorry that you're ugly on the inside and will ultimately, deteriorate into an ugly person on the outside.

Anyway have a nice miserable life.

I'm sorry you are having such a strong reaction to what i've stated, sometimes the truth hurts. And the truth is fat is not attractive.

I'm sorry you are having such a strong reaction to what i've stated,

Why because I have the intelligence and courage to put your ignorant comments to shame? Don't be sorry for me because I back up my opinions with facts. I'm certainly not sorry for being the only rational human being here.

sometimes the truth hurts. And the truth is fat is not attractive.

Wow thanks for being so scientific there. LOL your "truth" consists of "NO IT"S NAWWWT!!" You're like a 13 year old girl.

Use statistics and science if you want to argue, if not then please leave us grown ups alone and go bury your head in the sand.

reply

What scientific facts or statistics is needed for the statement that "fat is not attractive".

reply

You're a bully. I pity the people who have to put up with you in real life.

reply

So what's it to you *how* they refer to themselves? Apparently there is a man out there who loves them as they are (presumably) and wants to marry them, fatty curves and all. One man's fat is another man's curves. There's room for everyone, isn't there?

reply

Not according to some of the losers on this thread.
The fact of the matter is, someone wants to marry this person so why do you jerks care what they look like? Don't watch the show if you find the idea of a fat bride so offensive.
As someone else said, this isn't about concern for someone's weight/health. This is just plain mean.
