I totally agree. When my daughters shopped for their wedding gowns, their sisters & I went with them. For my youngest daughter her 14-year-old niece also went with us. The only problem we had was when we took my mother-in-law with us to see the gown my oldest had chosen, and she totally went ballistic. She said it was too plain. It was a simple and elegant Priscilla of Boston. She ended up getting married in another gown, which was unique and beautiful and her grandmother (who had worked in the top dress shops back home and owned her own boutique, so she did know fashion and also clothing construction and quality, to be fair) loved it.
The rest of us were totally supportive of all three girls and their choices, even though I didn't care at all for second daughter's gown, which overwhelmed her small frame, but I wouldn't rain on her parade.
Boo Hoo! Let me wipe away the tears with my PLASTIC hand!--Lindsey McDonald (Angel)
