Yawn...flop

So out of its time it's ridiculous. The 1984 had the genius of Lynch. Had it been Jodorowsky's Dune for this release then...wow.

But no such luck. These mindless remakes have to stop.

It Denis Villeneuve look at his track record Denis is better than Lynch by Far my concern I hope WB markets I have a Conspiracy theory That WB planned For BR 2049 to flop so Justice League could succeed seriously dude and this cast has serious star power which Villeneuve knows hows to utilize STFU its my Most Anticipated of 2020

Dune (1984) is highly flawed. I prefer the Sci-Fi Channel's mini series from the early 2000's.
Denis Villeneuve is an amazing director who gravitates toward serious science fiction. Both Arrival and Blade Rubber 2049 were excellent.
I am very much looking forward to see what he does with Dune.

reply

Arrival is excellent but BR2049 is a bland sequel.

reply

I could not disagree more. BR2049 is a masterpiece that far exceeds the original.

reply

lol what

reply

If Blade Runner is so great why are there five different cuts?
It is very flawed.

reply

Whaaaaaat?

reply

could not agree more. Really looking forward to what he's going to do with Dune. Hopefully is well received with audiences and we get more than one film.

reply

I liked BR but Arrival was boring and pretentious crap.

reply

Indeed.

It's a new adaption of a famed book from 1965, calling it a remake and lumping it in with the many mindless remakes of late is just daft.

reply

..and yet a mindless remake is just what it appears to be. However, let's wait and see. Let's give it the benefit of the doubt.

I’m cautiously optimistic based on BR2049, but going from the promise of Jodorowsky to Villeneuve is like having your reservation at Charlie Trotter cancelled and having to wing in for Olive Garden instead. To be fair I can’t think of another realistically viable director who would be better though.
