I had no sympathy for half of Ester's victims.

With the exception of Max and Kate, all her victims pretty much had it coming.

-Daniel was an a-hole and a brat who needed a spanking.
-Brenda was a bully and a brat who made fun of her clothes.
-The dad was too stupid and naive to believe Esther over his own wife and kids.

Kate and Max were the only ones who were smart enough to see past Esther's sweet and innocent act.

What about Sister Abigail? You didn't mention her. She was innocent and always had her suspicions.

Daniel saw through her as well, rightly so through his jerkass behavior.

I was actually rather surprised by Peter Sarsgaard dying even though he was the only one who was truly fooled by Esther. In Psycho Thrillers about terrorizing families, the entire family usually lives, even the morons.
