I have Esther's illness
I don't mean a psychopath part, obviously. I mean the hypopituitarism. Although I take shots in my thighs for it every night which helps me grow. It's a rare disease but I'm glad a movie is finally going into it.

shareHow does it affect you day to day?
shareIt doesn't have too much of an effect on my daily life. Other than the injections in my thighs, I also have to take Cortizone (corteff) pills three times a day. If I don't take the pills, I could potentially die.
Although, I will say that the movie did tone it down a little. If Esther never took the injections, she would actually never grow beyond the size of an infant.
Well, I think there are different kinds of the disease.
shareGet up and quit feeling sorry for yourself. Mind over matter!!
shareWho said she was feeling sorry for herself? Stop being a self-righteous tool.
shareShe seems to be doing pretty well.

Boy was that a bizarre change in tune for these posts.
shareI'm actually a guy.
sharemind over matter?
'make yourself grow!' 'make yourself grow!' 'make yourself grow!!!!'
lol, you tool.
Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.
She isn't feeling sorry for herself you ignorant ninny! She simply stated the facts of living with that disability. People like you need to have a karmic accident to turn your life upside down so your egotistical intolerance can be taken down a few pegs.
shareWhen talking and trying to figure out the movie with my family, before it was given away on screen, I had guessed dwarfism. I actually wasn't aware that there is a form of the condition that would make a thirty-three year old woman look 9 yr old! Sometimes movies often exaggerate a condition. I wonder how rare it is?
shareWell, it was mainly makeup and childish clothes that really made her look young.
shareI think it is pretty rare I would think.. I saw something on TV once about a baby that's was like 30 something... she still was the size of a baby and never learnedly to talk I don't think. You could probably find it if you look it up.
shareI've heard about her. The reason why I was able to get treatment was because I was a test subject, and it was safer for me because I was a newborn, whereas she was at least 10
shareThere's also a YA author with the condition.
shareWOW! Who is it?
shareHer name is Ann Angel. Couldn't tell to look at her, but apparently she has pituitary dwarfism. She's pretty and looks a full adult, but it must have been tough to grow up with. Great books too!
shareOhh yeah, I know her! She's made great educational books and YA anthologies (which I began collecting like mad in the past couple of years). This is her Amazon page:
