The idea of it is actually quite terrifying *Major Spoilers*

So this movie as a whole is okay. Not great, not terrible. My thought the entire movie was how utterly terrifying the idea is. Think about it:

It's just a regular day hanging out with your group of friends doing whatever you normally do as friends (party, go to church group, sit around the house and smoke pot, etc.) Suddenly, you bring up one of your friends' names and all the others have no idea who you're talking about. Now me, at first I would think it's a joke, nag my friends to fess up to it, and get a little pissy when they don't but let it go....but then it keeps happening. All of a sudden your group of friends is whittled down to a much smaller number and you seem to be the only one that remembers. Both conclusions I would come to freak me out: Either I'm *beep* crazy (which in reality would suck!), or, the creepy supernatural stuff is actually happening, your friends are dying, everyone now thinks you're crazy but you're not, and you have no idea how to stop the rest of your friends (perhaps including your boyfriend/girlfriend or sibling) from buying the farm. I think the latter sucks worse.

Just my two sense.

This movie was a big surprise. I expected it to suck and while it's not a classic or anything I thought it was totally cool the way things happened in it and with people forgetting the others after they died. Good pacing and kills, too. Oh and pretty sweet, wicked ending.

It's a sad thing that your adventures have ended here

I thought the idea was a very pleasant surprise! And yea, I was thinking of horrid it would be for ppl to be "erased" around you, and you are the only one that has to suffer with the memories.

After two disappear, whip out a video camera and take notes. If you watch the video and now the third missing is not on it, you know you are crazy or something supernatural is happening. Either way, you are doomed but at least you know you are doomed for sure.

We can all agree on one thing: The... er, creepy kidnapper people? had terrible makeup. For me, it kinda ruined any fear they might have brought in- their mouths and jerky arms especially. (I could tell they were trying for a Ring/Grudge/Japanese whatever effect that's totally overdone, but whatever.)

What they SHOULD have done is whenever someone disappears, nobody (the viewer, the main character) knows how or when it happened. The scenes of the characters being killed were pointless, since in most cases nobody was around to see them (like the guy in the workshop especially), and the special effects in those scenes had a tendency to ruin the mood. So instead, it should have just been friends hanging out, then one person's like, "Hey, where's Bob?" and everyone's like, "Who's Bob?". Then, it happens again- no word, no stupid demon kidnappers, just one person isn't there anymore and hasn't been there. Then it happens again. And again. And only one person knows it. That way, it's so much more psychological (because even we the viewers don't know how or when it's happening- maybe the main character is simply crazy?) and less in-your-face-with-terrible-makeup-and-effects. You know, less is more and all that.

"Less is more" is a lesson many, many, many filmmakers need to learn. This movie would have been a LOT creepier with a little less.

I agree with you, Gabe. That effect has been done to death and the film would have been much better without all the ridiculous zombies or whatever they were. I liked this movie but that whole Grunge thing has got to go.

"She's, like, a biscuit older than me..."
