Her website notes that she did do her own singing.

What is the name of the song she sings in a jazz club?

reply

It's only listed as "Simone's Song".

reply

right... we"ll she might have sung that horrible song in the bar but she did NOT sing that High C which was one of the many ridiculous plot elements in the movie. You can't break glass, even with great acoustics with a High E not to mention a High C... well... as I said, what's one more moronic moment in an entirely ridiculous movie?

FIRST OF ALL, I ACTUALLY DID THE VOICE OVER FOR THE LOUNGE SONG. AND SECONDLY IT IS A: B FLAT THAT BREAKS GLASS.... THIRD: THE NAME OF THE SONG IS: STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

reply

You can break glass with sound but it would vary with the frequency needed for any individual glass. You'd also need substantial volume and most people probably couldn't produce the decibel level to do it.

Farfetched, yes. But aren't vampires supposed to be super human?

It's a fantasy movie and you're required to suspend your disbelief. This is no more unbelievable than many plot points in many films and TV shows. Just relax, sit back and enjoy the show.

This song is on the soundtrack CD from La La Land Record as well as the rest of the score by Joseph DeLuca.

Yes, she did her own singing - she has a marvelous voice - which makes me wonder why her French accent was so gawd-awful terrible. And she speaks fluent Fench! I'm fluent in several languages but native speakers can almost never tell I'm noy from their country. She sound Russian or Eastern European.

reply

She was raised by Serbian parents, which might explain her enunciation. I thought it helped her role as a vampire.
