Was anybody surprised that Kim Cattrall's character Amelia..

..had absolutely nothing to do with the conspiracy? Normally it's the secretary who always is in cohorts with the bad guys but here she was a bit ditzy but innocent nonetheless. Kinda refreshing.

I liked her character. I never suspected her, but then never suspected the real malefactor, either. I believed that Adam Lang would turn out to be the heavy.

reply

She was a red herring. I dislike Kim Catrall, and thoroughly detested her smug character, but have to admit Ms. Catrall she was perfect for the part.

reply

ANYTHING but ditzy! She was one canny, sorted-out character.

I found something interesting. How did she know what was said between the first ghost writer and Rycart. The writer told him over the phone that truth can be found at the beginning. How could she have known this?

Also how she knew that Emmett was Ruth's tutor at Harvard?

reply

It's not surprising her character was not involved. The former PM was not involved. He was sincere when he claimed he took actions because he thought they were right. What he did not realize was that his wife was a CIA operative, and she had undue influence on his decision making.

reply

Her character was worthless. So was her attempt at a British accent.
