In competition for Cannes?

Curious about this. They haven't announced their lineup yet, but it looks primed for selection, since it's a new film by one of the most respected of French directors.

Nowhere to be found. Venice, I guess.

Here's hoping. In the meantime, IMDB has been painfully slow in updating this film's page. Christopher Lambert, for example, is a lead and he's nowhere to be found on the cast list. Where's the respect?

The producers' website has the release date set for September, so I think a Venice bow is pretty likely. Hopefully 35 Rums goes there too.

The Why Not Productions website now has White Material as a 2009 release.

We've got to find a proper american release date!

I wish I knew too. It seems like it would be great.
I'm guessing (only guessing) that France will open with in sometime this year (09). It's goning to be a bit until it gets to the US.
