Can someone tell me what country in Africa is this suppose to be? Or is it suppose to be any colonized country? I like the movie but Huppert is starting to get on my nerves. I just saw a Law & Order with her and her over acting was something to look at. What happened to her? She use to be a great actress and very pretty now she looks anorexic and of need of a few acting lessons.

Thanks. Yes it pretty universal how the end of colonialism came to a end in most countries in Africa. I didn't know the director came from the Cameroons.
shareit was filmed in Cameroon, but I think it was supposed to reflect a lot of what we know about the Rwandan genocide. But ig7 is right, she is deliberately non-specific, wants it to be a myth about a particular set of characters in a failed state.
