shareI don't see what you mean (not that I'm disagreeing with you). There are obvious relations between Ghost Dog and The Limits of Control but I don't really see much between those two and Night On Earth, apart from the similar random, enigmatic social interactions that NOE and LOC share. Care to elaborate on your theory?
sharein 'night on earth' he drives a cab; and at the end of 'limits of control' he is wearing a very similar outfit; as if he is going back to his alias a cab-driver. in 'ghost dog' whitaker's character give him that blue suit that he is wearing throughout 'limits of control'. please write back.
shareLooks like you've observed a lot more than I have. I'll have to rewatch Ghost Dog and Night On Earth because that seems like a very interesting set of links. Commendably noticed!
shareWhat he's wearing in Night on Earth isn't anything like what he's wearing at the end of Limits of Control. And his character in NoE isn't anything like his character in Ghost Dog (although his characters in NoE and LoC are somewhat similar).
Him being given the suit in Ghost Dog is interesting, but I don't think it implies any linear connection between Ghost Dog and LoC.
I've learned that every rooster has his Spain, that it's located under his feathers.

i must say i have to rewatch coffee & cigarettes; but to comment on the post that respectfully questioned the connection between 'night on earth' and 'the limits of control' i have to say did you not get the feeling that isaac de bankole's character in 'night on earth' felt very similar to his character in 'the limits of control'. i had thought that the clothing was similar, and that him being french and all. not saying that because both characters were french they must be the same character; but i feel that jim jarmusch is playing with this idea of a trilogy, or a character that pops up in jarmusch's movies from time to time. please write back.
