It's not as bad as you all want it to be.
After seeing Batman v Superman, I find it interesting that this is the stronger of the two films. It goes against the popular opinion I'm sure, but it is true.

shareI actually don't mind this Green Lantern movie but still I do prefer Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
shareI found BvS's lack of levity to be exhausting. Also the galactic mythology GL presents is a far more interesting premise. I know it's all just opinion, but I really think GL might pick up a few more fans or at least be reconsidered now that we've seen just how bad BvS was. I think the movie was written off for reasons that really bear no consequence to the overall film. For example: The suit is CG. Who cares? It actually looks pretty cool. The racecar sequence. Who cares? It's a tiny moment in the film. I think it's fun and cool myself. The idea is also planted earlier in the film when he plays with his nephew's toys. Those are the two main criticisms I hear, and they're very shallow. I really think this is a stronger movie than people give it credit for.
shareMy problem is less with the piss poor cg, but that the hero is a selfimportant douchebag. I feel more sympathy with Hector, who felt more like a victim than a villain, yet got cast aside with no forgiveness.
shareI don't agree that it is better but it's nowhere near as bad as some/a lot of people make it out to be.
shareIt's most definitely a stronger, more enjoyable movie than BVS. It stays fun while not taking itself too seriously, which is what a comic book movie like Green Lantern is supposed to be. I liked it.
BVS made me consider drowning myself.
